Tinker

Tinker (alias “Black Face”) is Jon’s mascot and was one of the loves of his life. Rescued as a kitten from Heydon Animal Shelter, Tinker was reputed to be one of only a few cats alive able to tell the difference between Dolby Digital EX and DTS ES 6.1 surround sound formats. Unfortunately, following a decade assisting Jon in his reviews of home cinema sound equipment at THX levels he gradually became almost stone deaf! In all probability, Tinker was probably one of the most treasured moggies ever. Tinker lived a long and happy life but finally died of old age just before his 20th birthday. He will never ever be forgotten.

Buster

Buster is Leanne’s mascot but if you think that cats are sophisticated, clever and agile, then Buster must be the equivalent of an Old English sheepdog!

“When we got him four years ago we didn’t even know if he was male or female! He was just a bundle of black fluff, and nothing much has changed! Sophisticated? Definitely not! Clever? Probably not - actually, he is the only cat I know that can get his head stuck in an empty crisps’ packet! Agile? Never, - sleeping and eating are his only hobbies. If I’m reincarnated, I want to come back as a Buster! He may not be a typical cat but he is my cat and he’s the only cat I know who will let you carry him in your arms around the house while he’s still asleep!”

Sam

Sam is Zoë’s mascot and has been a part of her family for just over three years. Zoë and Sam met at an animal shelter in Bishop’s Stortford where, with his good looks and charming personality, Sam stole Zoë’s heart. They have been inseparable ever since!

“Sam is something of a mixture; part Yorkshire terrier and part something else and each time he visits the vets they decide upon a different combination! Sam, however, is quite convinced that he is a Rottweiler, and would dare you to suggest otherwise! Sam has a particular fondness for cheese and chocolate but is really not at all happy when he’s in the bath. He is everyone’s best friend, well, once he has overcome his initial concerns that any visitor to his house may be an axe murderer, anyway! Life would not be complete without “little Sam” – an extra special best friend.”
